Mission.

AKO exists to inspire musicians to practice and play- and enjoy doing it.

Group.

By teaching music in groups, practice becomes play with friends. Rehearsing in group settings subtly builds confidence and assurance.

Shows.

AKO gives public performances to excited audiences. AKO plays a variety of songs- from Beethoven to the Jonas Brothers.

Sounds.

Each player sets their keyboard to a unique type of sound. On one song you may be a saxophonist, a percussionist or a pianist. On the next piece, you may use the sounds of waves, wind, chimes- who knows? No matter which sound you produce, your music skills benefit from learning the different rythms and styles. Players become eager to combine their parts to put on  great practices and shows.

Players are encouraged to bring in their favorite CDs and songs for instructors to arrange for performance pieces. When everyone plays what they enjoy listening to, it makes the desire to learn even greater.
