The Austin Keyboard Orchestra was recently selected to perform at the State Capitol on March 10th, 2009 at Arts Education Days at the Capitol.
It is a great honor to be selected from all of the outstanding groups that applied to represent all of the fine arts programs in Texas.
Arts Education Day demostrates to our legislators the reason to keep fine arts funding available for our schools. Being selected to perform for this event means that the Austin Keyboard Orchestra is an example of the high degree of talent and innovation possible when students are involved in music education.
Our day at the Capitol will involve tours, meetings with legislators, performing and watching other outstanding groups.
Bring your cameras and comfortable shoes! It will be a busy day. |
